AdIns Continue to Work From Home & Holding Technology Web Seminar

PT Adicipta Inovasi Teknologi (AdIns) has implemented Work from Home policy, commonly abbreviated as WFH, since March 2020. This is one of AdIns’ efforts to support the government’s efforts to curb the COVID-19 infection rate.

During the implementation of the WFH policy, AdIns has continued its work in hosting meaningful activities regarding the Information Technology (IT) field. One of AdIns’ programs during WFH is the Technology Webinar Series program as a discussion platform for industrial actors in the financial and technology fields.

Attended by more than 100 participants, the series with the theme of Tantangan IT Leader Menghadapi Masa Karantina COVID-19 (IT Leaders’ Challenge in Facing COVID-19 Quarantine Period) discusses about the Team Performance Monitoring Strategy. A strategy regarding online monitoring methods for team performance during WFH period has become an important component for companies to maintain their employees’ work effectivity. Surveillance under Mr. Ali Naga Saputra from AdIns to this team, for example, is done every morning before they start working by using Microsoft Teams application to uphold inter-team communication for the whole day. Moreover, we as industrial actors are obliged to uphold the “working room” standard in our homes to work in maximum capacity similar to our normal office works.

Another topic that was discussed on this webinar series was about the IT Infrastructure Preparation. In this occasion, Mr. Yudi Satriadi as IT General Manager of Suzuki Finance Indonesia emphasizes the importance of technology utilization to support and upgrade the company’s performance. This is especially important during the COVID-19 pandemic where employees’ capability to meet are physically limited, which prompts the use of Video Conference services such as Google Meets, ZOOM, Cisco, WebEx, and many others. The intensive use of internet to specialized networks are best supported with encrypted VPN (Virtual Private Network) services yang Cisco Anyconnect, Checkpoint, Sophos, and others.

Mr. Allen Hutama from PT Chandra Sakti Utama Finance discusses the idea of WFH equals Working Faster & Harder in the next discussion. Working activities that are supported with technology have become easier and faster, which results in the increasing work efficiency. The current progress of technology development also paves an opportunity for companies to monitor their employees’ attendance, their activities’ details, daily communication and work plans through applications.
